If you're looking for a caring and gentle photographer to capture every tiny detail of your newborn squishy baby I'd love to meet you. I am so privileged to photograph newborns and I get so excited before every shoot. Creating timeless images of your newborn baby fills my heart and is so rewarding. I LOVE babies and showing their little personalities with photography.
When your newborn arrives the world changes and the feeling of becoming a new parent is unforgettable. You'll want to cherish those fleeting newborn moments and feel confident to hand your newborn baby over to a stranger. Newborn photography is a specialised field unlike other photography you are handing over your newborn baby to a complete stranger to handle and photograph. Your baby is in safe experienced hands. I have photographed 100's of babies and have been photographing newborns since 2013. I know how to confidently comfort and settle your baby. I am a registered business, insured and I am fully vaccinated. Baby safety is my priority and I aim to create an emotive diverse range of unique imagery whilst you are feeling relaxed and comfortable.

My favourite newborn photos are simplistic and pure using soft neutral colours. However I'm always happy to pop on my creative hat for personal requests.

Frequently asked questions
When is the best time to photograph your baby?
The best time to photograph a newborn is during the first two weeks. Ideally between 7 to 10 days. At this age they are easily settled, comfortable and contented for those cute curly newborn poses. I love to photograph all babies, if you've missed this window of opportunity we can still capture beautiful photos and all the tiny details
Where is the studio located?
All sessions take place in a cosy relaxing and private studio located on Brisbane's Northside in Caboolture. Only 5 minutes from the highway and easy to find. Plenty of parking available and wheelchair friendly. The studio is home to the most adorable hand knitted props and the softest textures in soft muted tones and timeless neutrals. Everything needed to photograph your baby is available.
Will parents and siblings be included in the photos?
I aim for a selection of timeless and creative portraits including both parents and siblings. During a session with additional children I will complete family photos first so a family member or friend may take the older children home or to a nearby park to play once their part is complete. This relieves both parents of any stress trying to keep the best behaved toddlers occupied whilst ensuring the newborn is not disturbed by excitable big brothers and loving sisters with the very best of intentions.
What should I wear?
The studio is warm and cosy, perfect conditions for newborns. Please wear cool and comfortable clothing. I recommend bringing a change of clothing in the event of a mishap during your photos.Soft muted colour tones, neutrals and textures look great in photos. Think of timeless colours and subtle patterns that won't date. Many parents choose classic white or black. How long will the session take?
Please allow 2 to 4 hours for your newborn session. This ensures ample time for photos as well as important things like feeding and cuddles. I always schedule an entire morning for babies. Every session begins with a gentle touch, patience and without time restrictions. As a guide most people will be here around 2.5 hours excluding twins. Newborn session information will be emailed prior to your date of photography.
When should I book newborn photos?
If you've found the photographer of your choice it makes perfect sense to plan ahead. I recommend booking during your pregnancy to secure availability and current pricing. Newborn sessions are limited to 3 a week to ensure the highest quality of service to each family. Anytime after your 20 week scan we book your newborn due date. A deposit of $100 is required at the time of booking.If your baby has already arrived I will always try to schedule a session as soon as possible.
How long before I receive my photos?
I understand you will be excited to see your photos! Enjoy a sneak peek to social media or emailed on the day of your session. Within 2 weeks of your session your photos will be edited and uploaded to an online gallery. Once you've chosen your favourite images and placed your order your newborn photography package will be ready in 4 weeks.
Is hair and makeup styling available?
Yes I can organise a professional stylist who is amazing and very skilled.
Hair and Makeup can be booked in studio. All stylist are fully vaccinated. Hair and makeup needs to be booked in advance.

Your babies comfort is of utmost importance. I believe every baby has comfortable positions and are born with a personality which I respect
I always have a parent next to a baby when using a prop and photographing certain positions
I always have my camera strap around my neck when taking photos from above
I only use baby safe props and would never use breakable objects
I make sure your baby is supported during every pose in a comfortable and safe position
I would never leave your baby unattended in a prop, a posing newborn bean bag, with a sibling or pet
I am happy to say no to unsuitable requests for safety
Please do not come to the studio if you or a family member are unwell I'm happy to reschedule

What products are available? Will you like the packages? I am a huge believer if you pay for a professional photographer you deserve a professional printed archival product. Technology is great but we all know sometimes unreliable. Please print your photos! Don't leave your photos on a USB hidden. A good quality archival print will stand the test of time. With so many stunning products available make sure you have your beautiful family photos on display to enjoy. Bee Cherished Photography have something for everyone and any decor. How much does newborn photography cost?
Photographs are lifelong memories, whilst budget is important please don't make this your first priority when choosing your photographer. Newborn photography costs can vary greatly. It is important to remember that a professional full time photographer put much more into a session than just the time spent with you. Running a legal business and continuing with ongoing education, upgrading equipment and other business expenses will almost always be more expensive. When booking your session please remember having a baby can be costly and every family's finances and priorities will vary. Think about what's important to you and how much are your memories worth?
