A maternity photography session is a great way to cherish those fleeting memories.
The best time to have your pregnancy portraits taken is between 30 to 36 weeks or as soon as your belly is beautiful and round. This will vary with every woman and each pregnancy.
If you're looking for a female portrait photographer to create timeless, flattering images and make you feel very relaxed and comfortable I'd love to hear from you. I have converted my garage into a very welcoming, modern and stylish photography studio. Located on Brisbane's Northside 5 minutes from the highway. Ideally situated just under an hour from Brisbane CBD or 45 minutes from the Sunshine Coast. Only 40 minutes travel from the Maleny Hinterland or country Kilcoy. I'm honoured women travel from south of the Gold Coast and further west than Toowoomba. It's a privilege I'm lucky to enjoy and don't take for granted.

I specialise in fine art nudes and boudoir photography, however I also adore conservative classic old world maternity photography. Modern women's portraiture is one of my favourite genres.

Frequently asked questions
When should I book Maternity photos?
Anytime after 30 weeks or as soon as your belly is beautiful and round is a good time. This will vary with every woman and each pregnancy. I think it's nice to be comfortable to move around and feel well. Please don't leave it too late just in case your baby decides to make an early entrance. I recommend booking your session after 20 weeks to secure a place on the calendar. Weekend availability is very limited.
Why choose Studio portraits?
Studio maternity photos are wonderful for those women and couples looking for intimate portraits or perhaps not so comfortable having photos in public. All photos are edited by myself and privacy issues are highly respected. Studio lighting is very flattering. In a controlled environment you can wear whatever you desire all year round.The best news is your photos can taken anytime of the day or evening regardless of the weather.
Are partners included?
During your maternity session I will always encourage partners and other children to participate. I will dance when required to create a genuine smile from a toddler. (sorry in advance it's not pretty, it is better than my singing though)
What if I'm not confident?
That's perfectly normal. I will have your feeling confident very quickly and guide you during your entire session to create portraits you'll treasure forever. With meticulous attention to detail for posing you perfectly, you can trust me x People say I make them feel very comfortable.
What should I wear?
It makes perfect sense to plan what to wear for your maternity photos. I supply gorgeous pregnancy outfits/wraps designed for each unique and beautiful pregnancy shape. Feminine and romantic, conservative, elegant and stylish or sophisticated and sexy. Every woman is unique and each shoot is approached with careful consideration and understanding. Assistance and planning prior to your session starts from the first email. It is recommended you bring along a strapless nude or flesh coloured bra and undies. Advice for clothing and colours for partners and children's clothing are all inclusive.
Should I book hair and makeup for my maternity photography?
I highly recommend having hair and makeup styling with a professionally trained artist even if you love a natural look.
Hair styling and makeup is conveniently booked in studio.
Soft romantic curls, boho or beach inspired waves, the choice is yours. Stunning timeless makeup with a smokey eye or a soft and subtle look.
I want you to feel beautiful! Professional hair and makeup fills you with confidence and your skin will look flawless. Trust a highly skilled experienced artist to create your dream look and individual lashes are included.
All stylist are fully immunised and insured. These ladies are the best in the industry and have extensive training specifically for photographic makeup.

I'm interested in boudoir maternity photography and I don't like my .... the most common statement!
Yes we all have insecurities about certain body parts .. wobbly bits .. cellulite .. stretch marks .. veins.. the list goes on .. it's okay we are all critical of ourselves at times. What ever your body type or skin colouring I can create flattering images. Careful positioning, correct choice of lingerie and delicate lighting are all part of choosing to use a professional boudoir photographer and of course strategically place fabrics and shadows. Bee Cherished photography love to share beautiful imagery however your privacy is of utmost importance to me and your images will be treated with discretion and according to your individual requests. All images are photographed and edited by myself and developed in a professional photography lab.
